Brasserie de Silly

A Visit to the Heart of Hainaut

Brasserie de Silly is located just 40 km southwest of Brussels, in the agricultural heart of Hainaut. It’s a region that sees few tourists, yet truly deserves to be discovered. For hikers who escape the crowds and love going off the beaten path, it’s possible to combine in a single day the discovery of a beautiful landscape with a visit to the artisan brewery of Silly.

The Silly Countryside

The heritage of Silly is full of surprises: churches, chapels, wayside shrines, historic milestones, pillories, typical old houses, and large farmsteads. Walking or cycling trails wind through narrow lanes, footpaths, forest driveways, and rural tracks, offering breathtaking countryside views. Numerous marked routes exist, and guided tours are available. The Silly Musical Spring is a classical music festival held annually in Silly. Founded in 1990, its concerts take place in castles, churches, and extraordinary venues.

The Tour & Tasting

Brasserie de Silly can be visited by groups of at least 15 people, by appointment. Tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the beer-making process (brewing, packaging). A tasting of Silly’s craft beers is also included (please drink responsibly).
